Ivorian star Didier Drogba has confirmed that he will be leaving Major League Soccer Canadian outfit Montreal Impact, with a Chelsea return on the cards.
The club had released a video on Twitter thanking the 38-year-old former Chelsea striker for his service, after playing his last home game for the club as a second half substitute in Impact’s 3-2 win over Toronto FC in the first leg of the MLS Eastern Conference finals on Tuesday.

According to The Sun, veteran Drogba could be heading straight for a coaching role at former club Chelsea, as the Blues chiefs have been desperate to bring the Ivorian back to Stamford Bridge when his playing career ends. Drogba joined Montreal in July 2015 and has scored 21 regular season goals in 33 appearances across two seasons. Before moving to the MLS he had spent nine seasons with Chelsea, scoring 164 goals across all competitions and leading the Premier League club to their first ever Champions League title.
